Im enrolled in the Surgical Tech program after being an endoscopy tech the past 17 years and sterile processing 20 years ago. I wish i had done this sooner. I plan to stay in endo and take an occasional shift/call in the OR when needed. My hospital has been super accommodating and supportive at Multicare. This program has been great!

Thanks for the info..super helpful..I talked to a MedCert rep today about Surgical Tech program and had all kinds of questions..I see you are a fellow Philly native like myself..I'm at city limits in burbs around Cheltenham area..small world!

Hey I’m interested in taking a course at medcerts although it was a huge red flag when the enrollment lady told me they are not an accredited school but are accredited by the state I guess she was explaining to me.

Although sometimes the profession you chose to go into may not accept that because it’s not accredited ya know.i just don’t wanna pay my money take the course and the get told I can’t get a job have you had any luck or problems with medcerts education or job seeking ???

Hey, I’m currently enrolled in MedCerts Surgical Technologist program and was wondering if you’d recommend taking internships/job shadows after receiving a certificate for completing the Surgical Technologist course? I’m trying my best to be prepared for state boards and would also like to get some clinical time before going into a permanent job and hopefully have a better chance at getting hired since most of my learning was online

@joycelam I would definitely do one class at a time. You can come back and take the second course later.

Hey I plan on doing the surgical tech program. They told me is best to do the sterile processing and train in that and then go back for surgical tech. Do you think I will still do well if I just do the surgical tech program?

I was ask to fill out the MedCerts Program Application Form and ask for my social security number. Is it safe to give them social security number? I not getting a loan. I paying out of my own pocket.

Hey. Really enjoyed this video. However, I am very curious. I only see 2 reviews on YouTube which is yourself and another young lady and I have been searching high and low for other reviews throughout the internet and can't seem to find anymore. That makes me think that this route would be a waist of time. How are things going for you with medcerts now? Are you working with the certification you obtained through them. I really want a career change and just trying to find the best route but I have no more money or time to waist. You know what I mean? Thank you 🙏🏾
