Awesome video as per usual. I haven't really played much in April - well in terms of quantity of games. Have still been playing Gems of War (only 2 trophies away from the 100%) and Elden Ring (which I've been working on since the end of March). Keep up all the great work and see you for the next one.

In April I finished Grandia which turned out to be one of the funnest games I’ve played in a while and definitely regret sleeping on for so long. Also finished both Nights of Azure games and now starting my journey through another series I never experienced which is the Mana series. Hoping to finish at least the first 3 games to be ready in time for the upcoming Visions of Mana. On the fence about Neptunia as a big fan of the series but was kinda disappointed in Sisters vs Sisters which this game looks very similar to. I’ll play it eventually but it might not be a day one like past titles in the series.

I finished Tokyo Mirage Sessions in April which was a hidden gem. I have now moved on to a mix of Fire Emblem Engage, LOD Infinite Wealth and Eiyuden Chronicles HH... which will keep me busy a while.

I was hoping to wrap up Trails to Azure in April myself, but the final chapter is long (and awesome!). Finished it yesterday at last!

April was, for me, split between Breath of Fire III and Final Fantasy IX on PSone and Link's Awakening DX on NSO for Nintendo Switch, the later of which I managed to finish yesterday! And with Breath of Fire III, I have officially surprised my original playthrough and even got to a certain massive pivot in the story that I won't spoil.
I've also been playing some Pokemon AlphaSapphire here and there in my downtime, and it's been really comforting to revisit

I still haven't gotten rebirth, I spent April playing GBF Relink and another Cyberpunk playthrough. I'm looking forward to Rebirth and Stellar Blade this month

I mostly went into my backlog and focused on clearing Valkyria Chronicles 4 since I've been wanting to jump into it.

When you posted your march update, i was finishing up Tales of Symphonia. That got done, i liked it, but it wasn't that S tier exp that people talk about so much. But i will continue the series eventually.
But then, I decided to start Trails in the Sky, and amazingly so, got it done in about 2/3 weeks, doing 100% and 66 hours. I loved it. For this month, its going to the sequel, SC, which i just started.
As for gachas/mobile, i dont play them, but i really want Persona 5 X comes to west. No idea why its taking so long.

At this point I can say there's no shot you're beating Reverie before Daybreak comes out 😂

I beat Eiyuden a few days ago. Honestly it met my expectations. Really felt like a PS1 game, and more importantly, Suikoden 6 in all but name.

I tried the Saga demo as well, and I felt the same thing, something about it that just don't do it for me, but I didn't like Octopath traveler for the same reason :/ So it felt really good going back to Trails to Azure. And also I'm starting up Final Fantasy Type-0 HD this day as I've had it on my backlog for years.

I could _never_ keep track of this many story driven games 😅

I have Saga Frontiers Remastered which I just didn't like so i didn't get far. I tried the Saga demo as it looked bright and colorful but unfortunately I didn't like it either. The dialog was uninteresting and the combat system unclear. I've decided Saga games are not for me. I don’t bother putting much time into things I initially dislike because there's a huge roster of games I love. Like Unicorn Overlord. I tried Honkai Star Rail after watching someones playthrough for an hour and I absolutely love it. Never thought I'd play a gacha game but the writing, voice acting and stories are outstanding. Thanks once again for your video!

Hearing more about it, I really gotta get to "Eiyuden Chronicle" sooner than latter. I just have so much else I gotta catch up on as well. Still haven't started "Unicorn Overlord" either for instance. "FF7 Rebirth" really took way too long for me to finish. It pushed back everything else into this hodge-podge of "I'll get to it eventually". Oh well, all in good time I suppose. At least I'm finally done with it.

That said, I think the only notable RPG I played in April is "Mistover", though that's Korean and not Japanese. Been wanting to start it for a good while but it's actually delisted everywhere. Thankfully, it did have an English-Asian physical version so I managed to nab a copy of that at a mostly reasonable price. Even came with a still active DLC voucher somehow. It's a bit simple in some aspects but I really did enjoy it. A shame it's kind of condemned to just be forgotten now.

Sad you didnt like Saga beyond Emerauld. This saga game is for me the best for new comers.
I'm currently finishing my Diva playthrought (not a spoiler but she transforms into a robot as her adventure starts).

I have 4 weeks off from work so i'm playing seriously my backlog.

April was a total mess with again buying new games with the hype to only start them, then put them in the backlog.
I hate myself doing that again 😅 but nvm.

I can't wait june releases tho (monster hunter stories 1 and 2 on ps5 will be a plat goal for me!).

Also smt 5 apocalypse which looks even better than the royal edition to persona 5.
