Recently, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh resigned after being in power for 15 years. The Prime Minister has taken this step due to violent protests by students going on in the country for several weeks. Actually, the students were demanding the removal of the quota system. Which was a matter of reservation in jobs. It is worth noting that the students were angry due to the court's restoration of the job quota scheme that was canceled in the year 2018. At the same time, under the job quota scheme policy, 30 percent of government jobs were reserved for the descendants of soldiers who fought in the war fought for independence from Pakistan in the year 1971. There was anger among the students about this, which led to the anti-discrimination student movement. Meanwhile, the Army Chief of Bangladesh announced the formation of an interim government. Nobel Prize winner Mohammad Yunus was appointed as its head.
In other section, Recently, 'Moidams' was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. This site is the 43rd site from India to be included in the World Heritage List. This was announced during the 46th session of the World Heritage Committee. This session was held in New Delhi from 21 to 31 July. It is worth noting that India hosted the session of the World Heritage Committee for the first time after joining the World Heritage Convention in 1972.
