Farmers force PM to cancel housing visit

A farmer protest has forced the PM to cut short a visit to Milton Keynes where he was promoting his housing policies.

The farmers were protesting against changes to inheritance tax.

The millionaire’s are mad that their farm buying tax loop hole is closing. My partners ex boss bought a farm to hide profits off his business, he had a few rare breed cows and a couple of barns he was going to convert to houses. He definitely was not supplying potatoes and food.

So people with over 1 million pounds worth of land disrupt housing project because they don't want to pay the same tax as everyone else?.

75% of family owned farms are valued @ £1 million+, 60% @ £1.3 million+ and 40% @ £2 million+. Mainly due to the cost of the land required to farm! It's doesn't mean their rich!.The farms need to be this size to make them financially viable..
Just a tracker for a farm of this size would cost around £90k/£100k.. before fuel and tools... My point is, overheads are insane! Putting the 20% tax on farms over £2M, would at least, make more sense.

Boris gave farmers big lump sums to retire from farming.
He also gave big subsidises to grow trees and rewild.
No farmers protested about food.
