I grew up in Alamogordo, and played at White Sands uncountable times. The dunes are continually moving east. As a kid we watched an old west very small town get covered by sand. As part of Whitesands missile range you cant go there.

It's not sand it's gypsum . I've been there it's really Kool . But it's not as fine sand is though . They gotta plow it off the roads looks like piles of snow where they plowed it off the roads . I have pictures of me being buried in the sand
