My grandfather, who lived next door, traded his 1962 Falcon wagon in and bought a 1964 Rambler Classic 660 four-door. Metallic turquoise. It was about 1975 and that thing was in remarkable shape. I loved working on it--everything was simple. It was his last car and kept in his garage. The only thing that didn't work well was the vacuum wipers. The elderly lady we sold it to tied a string to the left wiper and pulled it to get the wipers going. :) The thing I remember fondly about that car was the horn that would wake the dead. Loud? It was deafening! Thanks for the great AMC tour.

I was fortunate to have an AMC dealership in my hometown, it was called, Johnnie's Rambler, then Johnnie's AMC, and then Johnnie's Jeep. Always enjoyed checking out new AMCs back in the seventies. I always wanted the 4X4 Eagle.

I have been enjoying these so much! This is such an amazing collection and this is incredible that you have documented it so nicely for us to see. I am definitely making this a place high on the list of “I want to go visit”. This might be the most comprehensive collection I’ve ever witnessed. And so incredibly curated and displayed. It really is an amazing creation. I am so grateful that you have made it a multiple part series so that we could see a glimpse of what you got to experience first hand. Also, people need to know this exist! Incredible! Thank you Kevin and Ralph for including us on an amazing adventure!

My parents bought a brand new 1962 Rambler Cross Country station wagon when I was about 7 years old. It had a 6 cyl., 3 speed on the column. The rear seat back folded forward and the split bench front seat backs folded backward so it was like a bed from front to rear! My dad put an 8 track tape deck in it and the speakers were in the back of the rear seat. Very cool! We also had a '57 Nash 2 door coupe. Two tone paint that was deep purple with pink in the center. Automatic transmission and an odd way to start the car: Put the key in, turn it on, pull the column shifter toward you to start. The radio also took a minute to come on as it had tubes and was not transistorized. A friend of mine in high school had the exact same car only it was a wagon. VERY DEPENDABLE VEHICLES. Good on gas too. Great memories. Today I have a '74 International Harvester Scout 2 with a 258 cu in AMC 6 cylinder engine.

These automobiles are impossible to find. This is amazing. I grew up with the Gremlin.

YES! Adore the AMC cars. Spent a lot of time in a Gremlin back in high school. I’m always tickled to see one on the road. Thank you for sharing!! FYI, I literally got goosebumps (I have a witness) when seeing the tent accessory. I’ve got a Pontiac Aztek, which came with a tent and I do camp. How dreamy would a tent on an AMC would be! ❤

Big Noise From Kenosha! What could be more American than these cars? My family never owned a Rambler but they were iconic family wagons to be spotted on highways in the 60s, usually towing a boat or camper, loaded up in the back, national park stickers in the rear window and of course the kids and dog in the back seat. Wonderful!

Hi, Kevin, Ralph and Terry! Wow!! My mind is blown. What an amazing collection. I grew up with a car mad father and I could tell you the make, model and year of any car by the time I was 8 years old! To this day, I still catch myself trying to see how fast I can identify cars while on the road. Thanks for the video. Have a wonderful day, guys!

My first car was a used 1973 AMC Pacer. It was Copper colored and I loved it!

Amazing!!
My wife had a banana yellow AMC Pacer when we first met in 1991, such a funky little car!
Growing up, AMC was considered the red headed step child of the auto industry, there was always something slightly different about their cars in the 80's.
Very interesting series!
I hope Ralph is getting some help with his back?
Too many stove exchanges I would suspect!??

Oh my goodness! I remember my friend’s parents had a station wagon and I was so jealous of them! That was back when you could tell a Chevy from an Oldsmobile from a mile away. Now, all the cars look the same. I can’t tell a Honda from a Mercedes these days😕. Great video, thanks!
