Speakers
Jeffrey D. Sachs – Professor and Director of the Center for Sustainable Development, Columbia University and Director, UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network
Moizza Binat Sarwar – Senior Research Officer, Equity and Social Policy, ODI
'We’re all in this together' has been a rallying cry of governments around the world in response to Covid-19, particularly in high income countries. But while the pressures may be the same – on income, health and industry – the idea that Covid-19 is a great leveller is far from true: the resilience of individual people and countries to the impact of the virus is far from equal. We discuss work on economic growth, poverty, public health and current insights from leadership in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.
ODI Bites is our new series set on giving you big ideas, easy to digest. We launch a series of online conversations with leading ODI experts, exploring dynamic new research, thought leadership, and responding to global challenges.
