This is about the only audition performance from these shows I've come back to listen to multiple times. I find this version with the elevated emotion and power to be better than the original and would love to be able to download a studio version of it or of Adele singing it like this. Can't believe there are people on here commenting this performance was lacking. He one upped an extremely successful and talented artist on their own song IMO.

When I first heard this performance, I thought to myself, "This guy must be a singer already". It's the half of 2023, 6 years later and this is still my favorite thing to listen to. It is unbelievable to be able to sing this song better than a unique artist like Adele. The reaction of the jury is also very special. Thank you for giving us such an auditory feast. I am very happy for Fernando that he has reached the level of being a successful singer in his own country.
