If I'm not mistaken, the M2 Carbine never appeared in Battlefield 1942 so this could mean we got our First Battlefield V weapon coming to this game. (I'm not sure if the M2 Carbine appeared in another other Battlefield game before that)

Hearing about all this content gets me all excited then I hear "portal" I don't understand DICE's fascination with Portal. It's great on paper but I don't see it anywhere near as popular. The concept is cool. But for some reason in Australia it's dead now. On launch it was populated and now it's empty. Other countries have more players. But EA/Dice seriously need to just slowly bring over all this unused content to All out Warfare. It will be a big hit for the main game mode. DICE PLEASE.

One of the main issues is the lack of content if they just added more guns and maps I’m sure people would come back and play. But they have to add an actual full games worth of content. Hope they overhaul it eventually and add back the regular class system

I'm concerned that AOW is going to be an incoherent mishmash of stuff if they rely on porting stuff from Portal, itself ported from old games. I guess it takes DICE less effort than making new stuff to fit into their own 2042 universe. Seems lazy to me, though.

DICE needs to bring back the featured playlists of 1942, BC2, and BF3 Conquest/Rush. I feel like Portal content doesn’t get any regular use besides those playlists

All of those weapons wirh the exception of that world war 2 weapon are still ised in real world combat today, and would probably still be used in 2042, don't understand why they wouldn't make it in the base gane

If the M249 SAW returns in BF2042, this means Irish will finally have his main weapon back.

BF4 and BFV are going off lately. Ditch 2042 and show the Devs what we really enjoy.

2042 needs weapons. I mean base game.Weapons maps, equipment.

The should just add the portal maps and weapons in the normal rotation. Pleanty of content we could be using. Bad company 2 & bf3 guns would work well in the 2042 setting

Oh yay, guns from 1920-1980 being ported from old games to be the first content in a near future game taking place in 2042. How about at least modern guns like a cz scorpion, bren 2, x95, desert tech mdrx, dp 12, TS12, ANY handgun.
