Old Dominion vs. Virginia Tech Game Highlights | 2023 ACC Football

The Hokies got the 2023 season started on a good note with a home win. After losing to Old Dominion in 2022, Virginia Tech got a 36-17 victory in Blacksburg. The Hokies only led 16-10 at halftime, but they dominated the second half. Quarterback Grant Wells threw for 251 yards and three touchdowns on 17-29 passing. Wells ran the ball seven times for 27 yards and a touchdown as well. Old Dominion transfer Ali Jennings caught five passes for 72 yards and two touchdowns for Virginia Tech. Jaylin Lane had four catches for 69 yards and a touchdown.

Only Grant Wells could throw 3 tds, no picks, run for another, have no sacks and win by double digits and still have every message board for his team wanting him benched.

Edit: Man in hindsight this game is really painful to watch. Defense barely even touching running backs, Tuten having break three tackles just to not lose yards.

Things I learned watching this game live. Pass the ball down field, not sideline to sideline. The enzone is forward! The receiver's are good finally.
