A BRIEF BIO
Pastor Brad is exactly who he sounds like, a Pastor named Brad--who is also an 80s style, Christian metal recording artist. Growing up during the golden age of metal, Brad picked up the guitar in 1982. In 1987 he became a Christian, a decision that revolutionized his life & continues to do so to this day. In 2004 he launched Pastor Brad Rocks as a platform for sharing his music with the world. To date, Brad has released more than two hundred songs!

Brad has been blessed to work with several of his heroes! Richard Lynch & Dee Harrington (SAINT) appear on several songs on RESHREDDED (2006). Les Carlsen (Bloodgood) laid the lead vocal on HE LOVES ME (BREAK OUT, 2010) & Ken Tamplin contributed the lead vocal on TURN UP THE LIGHT (BREAK OUT 2010).

CHRISTIAN METAL PASTOR
Being both a Christian Pastor & a Hard Rock/Metal artist/music fan, Brad has a stong desire to serve the "heavy music" community. The Primary Aim of The Pastor Brad Rocks Channel is to Rock You (everyone) Up for Jesus with Classic Style Christian Hard Rock & Metal Music, & Practical Bible Teaching. Pastor Bob Beeman of Sanctuary International is another "Christian Metal Pastor" (who I respect deeply). My hope is that this channel, in concert with others like Pastor Bob's will serve the Christian Hard Music Community well and reach Hard Rock & Metal Spiritual Seekers--with the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

HOW TO DESCRIBE PASTOR BRAD’S MUSIC?
If you tossed Stryper, KISS, Iron Maiden, Whitecross, AC/DC, Barren Cross, Metallica, Idle Cure, Motley Crue, Petra, Judas Priest, SAINT, Ozzy Osbourne, Theocracy, Van Halen, Ken Tamplin, Scorpions, Joe Satriani and Steve Vai, Randy Rhoads, Angus Young, Ace Frehley, Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, and Peter Criss into a CHRISTIAN BLENDER and they came out playing Christian Hard Rock and Classic Metal Music, you’d have Pastor Brad’s classic 80s style Christian Hair Metal Music!

My transformation was in 1984 so I was buying many Christian albums each month. I am very familiar with all bands mentioned. (P.s. my favorite Daniel Band has always been "Run From The Darkness" (ex. Walk on the Water)). David Zaffiro's solos are great as is John Elefante's solo's. I was mostly into Stryper, Barnabas, Petra, Rez Band, Phil Keaggy and Messiah Prophet. I'm glad to see you are mentioning your own albums that you have released. More people need to be made aware of these, they are all brilliant and your guitar shredding is ripping. Thank you Brad for sharing. God bless!

What a year, 1986! The albums I have are: Barren Cross Rock For The King, Bloodgood debut, Daniel Band Rise Up, Messiah Prophet Master of the Metal, Saint Time's End, Petra Back to the Street (not Metal but has some Hard Rock elements like Shakin the House) and of course Stryper To Hell with the Devil which blew the doors wide open off the hinges for them and Christian Metal where Soldiers opened the doors ha ha! All these albums are awesome! I had Bride Show No Mercy on cassette. To Hell with the Devil was certified platinum or double platinum in the US. Several years ago Michael sweet did a tally and he estimates the album sold between 5-6 million albums in the world or in the US alone. In God We Trust is their second best seller. What's also amazing is two thirds of album sales are bought by non-Christians. Great video!

Pastor Brad have you heard “Generation” - Watchmen (1988 album), they sound to me like a Survivor, Quarterflash & Baalam And The Angel mixture with Gene Loves Jezebel & Ratt flourishes and Taylor Dayne as lead Singer on most songs🎉 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Nice I was saved in 1987. And loved heavy metal at the time. Didn't know a lot of these bands.

In The Night is still one of my faves for opening riffs.

Great video PB! 1986 was a special year…I graduated high school and I can remember the day I bought THWTD on cd at the mall with my friend like it was yesterday! It was the censored cover. SAINT, MESSIAH PROPHET, BARNABAS, BC and DANIEL BAND ruled on my record player and cd player. At that time I was switching over to cd from records…cd’s were becoming the preferred media. Ahh, the good old days!

Big fan of Bloodgood and Zaffiro! Love the song"To the End"
And a fan of Stryper, Petra. Even saw Greg X Volz in college around 1986? Or 1987.

One that I can think of that was released in 1986 that didn't get mentioned, Greg X Volz "The River Is Rising." I have always thought this was a quality album.

86-92 i think is where the majority of my albums came from. I know I am forgetting quite a few due to my entire collection getting stolen.

Back to the streets while a great album was a big change for Petra. Honestly until Jeckell and Hyde album i didnt listen to them near as much as earlier music. But to me, and yes i know it was much later, "All about who you know " was an awesome return to the metal/hard rock we loved from Petra. My poor broken speakers....lol

I’m really enjoy your content. Any thoughts on U2? They were 🔥🔥🔥 in the mid to late 80s. I have heard Bono mention Jesus many times and there songs filled with Bible reference.. Thanks and Rock on Pastor Brad

Another band you haven't mentioned yet is Rosanna's raiders. They weren't heavy but more like a Pat Benatar vibe. They had some rock in all their songs and some a little soft feel.

BACK TO THE STREETS was a HUGE Shock, Greg X. Volz had left PetrA. To me Petra wasn't Petra anymore, it was more pop and less Rock with a stranger leading it, that's how I felt heard and saw it. This was close to the wilderness years of my life 1987 - 1994.

I stopped listening to BRIDE when I found out that they didn't believe in eternal damnation, and their beliefs were closer to the Watch Tower Society's. I removed all of their music from my Spotify lists.
