My gripe with the characters for me wasnt the designs or whatever in fact i love them. i just didnt like their portrayals. everything else is fine to me.

Oh and soundwave needed the vocoder.

So I think Peter Cullen's voice has aged extremely well, and the same applies to frank welker's. Sad thing is the voice he was told to do for live action megatron first time around was good, but it felt as if he was forced not to capture the essence of megatron? It might be bias, but I feel like TFP was a fantastic rendition of modern day megatron, where it held age and (twisted) wisdom to it. I also think that the two different megatron designs doesn't help at all. I think the second design for megatron fits the original voice better, where the first 3 movies work better with the newer megatron voice he had to do. The transformers have fought for centuries. While I'm not the biggest FAN of optimus prime's character in the live action movies, I think peter cullen's voice still fits, and despite how Iconic it was in gen 1, the age has really helped to accentuate the (relatively) calm and wise leader Optimus is.

Onto Bee. In all honesty, if it weren't for the modern take of Bee having his voicebox ripped out, I'd be 100% for his old actor's voice here. It still fits. It's still worth noting that the not being able to talk thing is still well.. such a good development for the character, and is an odd, yet interesting limitation to his abilities. TFP did it really well, and I think that Live action movies did good until Last Knight, then Bumblebee and hopefully the next movie too.

Starscream, Rachet, and Soundwave could use that age in a way. Starscream's voice arguably still does fit extremely well with these movies' iterations of starscream, just needs modern digitizing. Rachet and Soundwave honestly don't need to be changed all too much. They sound great.

Galvatron's voice just doesn't fit modern movies almost solely due to the fact that they went with the idea that it's literally still megatron in this universe, rather than Unicron's megatron

They all work pretty well actually, I think ratchets actor would've done a great job if they brought him back if he just deepened his voice a bit
