As I was listening the whole legal rundown, it occurred to me that Disney is far-thinking enough that they may have had this plan in place for decades, just in case something like this situation came along where FL tried to take control of Reedy Creek in some form. I have this story in my head where the new board gets all the documents from the records request, and it is just one single email stating "Execute Order 66."

The lawyers who came up with this move should immediately be enshrined in the American Bar Association's Hall of Fame. If that doesn't yet exist, create it and it should be named for them, too. They should never have to pay for a meal or a drink for the rest of their lives if another lawyer is within a mile of them. Many people like to dump on lawyers and, to be fair, sometimes it's certainly deserved, but the lawyers who came up with this FU to Rhonda Santass are heroes who should be feted by every law school in the land.

Desantis was dumb in publicly going after Disney and giving them a year to plan this maneuver. Then he was completely negligent in failing to assign someone to watch the Reedy Creek board until the new board had the authority to take over. This shows how inept Desantis truly is and how easily he can be outplayed. Good job Disney, Walt would have been proud.

WDW News. Tom, From all the different media outlets and legal comments the biggest sticking point is the Reedy Creek Board held all it's meetings in the open and got on with business. Just like local Council or School Board meetings. Not behind closed doors. The Attorney General, Ashley Moody want's to look at Reedy Creeks minute's, correspondance etc. to make sure all their T's are x'd and i's are dotted. The new board members sat there like Muppets. One board member said, "All we have left is control over roads, infrastructure and Fire Dept.Yes, same as the old board. They did'nt think Disney was going to let the new board build theme parks, did they? For the new board who is going to pay for their legal expenses? We all know how the Supreme Court likes to overturn modern court rulings and revert back to what the original documents say or don't say on a subject. They might find in favour of the King clause. In the meantime who is doing the day to day work of the old board. Has the new board ordered the new fire trucks as their first priority, as stated? Let battle commence. Cheers, Chris Perry.
