Ep 006: Hexadecimal Conversion

Binary can be challenging for humans to read or record. This video presents how long sequences of ones or zeros can be converted to octal or hexadecimal so as to quickly represent binary in a more human readable form.

Take aways: At the completion of this lesson, each student should be able to:
• explain why hexadecimal is used in computing,
• convert from binary to hexadecimal (and also to octal!), and
• represent a hexadecimal value in code.
