Divided opinions as voters consider Chile's new constitution

Chile's new draft constitution goes to a referendum on Sunday. This vote will decide if the constitution from the era of General Augusto Pinochet will be scrapped.
While supporters of the proposed replacement say it is a model for the future, opinion polls suggest the draft might be rejected at the ballot box.

Never try by any countries before does not mean it will fail. That economist is definitely an aristocrat, a white german! Beside Pinochet era, Chile existing constitution was written by a bunch of capitalist from US after the fall of Pinochet, and control by a bunch of aristocrats using investment as the ever excuse that no investment will come. Well, may be Chilean is smart and learnt to self efficient or pick better business partner instead of German or American.

Congrats to Chile! Augusto Pinochet was a cold blooded man who deserves criticism but one thing he deserves eternal praise for was how he crushed the left, corrupt public bureaucrats and marxists in Chile and prevented them from ruining Chile like they had done to most of South America. The fact that the constitution he enacted is still largely in place proves that Chileans are wise enough to not let their country be destroyed like the rest of South America.

Chile were recently voting on their new constitution, which directly replaced the fascist constitution that the United States forced Chile to develop in support of Pinocchier.
