Super Mario Bros. Z (Episode 1)

It's been a while, Ladies and Gentlemen. I've had a very turbulent four years since I uploaded the first episode of the SMBZ reboot. Despite all the downs, I've always wanted to continue with the reboot and (hopefully) finish the series like I have always envisioned.

While I have been working on episode 2 very diligently over the past month. I decided to go back and make some alterations to the first episode. Mostly involving updating the text boxes to show the new progressive text I'll be using in the series going forward. But to also make a few minor tweaks here and there. Namely to one very glaring grammatical error that has been bugging me for years. I am quite happy with the episode as it stands now. Don't worry. I don't want to make it a habit to go all George Lucas on my series.

The scene in which Luigi jumps in to protect Mario as a "Go through me" moment already makes him a better character in this reboot than he was in the original. It's a really powerful moment as it shows Luigi will do anything to protect Mario, even at the cost of his own life. He's more than just comic relief here and I really appreciate that; hopefully we see more Luigi action later on.

There’s something so inspiring about seeing someone who had left a project after losing the magic and passion he began with to find himself regaining it years later and creating something even better than what he had started with. This is amazing. I loved the original series and I am ecstatic to see where you take it with these years of hindsight, experience, and improvement under your belt. It already looks amazing. Audacity: Used to choose the audio voices of the characters and sound effects.
Paintshop pro 9: Used to create the scenarios.
Sony Vegas Pro 12: Used to edit the sprite animation.
Swift3D: Used to draw the 3D Models and make them move.
Swivel: Used to record the sprite animation in a better quality.
Postscript: I searched on internet what are those programs and their functions. After searching, I think this is how Mark Haynes did the episode.
