as a long time studio owner and engineer, and used to have a mastering lab, i have tried over the years to explain the curve, and why people thing vinyl is better. then i turn off the curve on my setup, and let them hear how noisy records really are. but, the fact that it makes you listen to a whole side of an album, without shuffle play, makes it the still great format for music. i gave my nephew an old high end turntable i had, with a great stylus, and he just loves listening to music like he never did before with ipods and the like.

and like we say here, it aint final, till it's vinyl....
