Yes! I can certainly relate. I have six pairs of pointe shoes, two pairs of jazz shoes, one pair of character shoes, and a pair of tap shoes. I finally parted with some of my leotards/tights. But I just can't let go of them shoes!

Absolitely. Desperately trying to combinate my dance clothes with anything to have at least a reason to keep them (wearing regularly), but it never works

Yes, so true, and definitely not just you.
I don't have/haven't kept everything, like every pair of Pointe shoes, tights, leotards, but there is at least like half a dozen of each minimum.
There are certain things that you just cannot get rid of regardless of how worn out and functionally useless they are, like the old Pointe shoes that you put a hell of a lot of hard work, blood, sweat into and are super dead, torn, dirty, gross, etc. I also have many pairs that were painted or dyed for performances and competitions so those have a more sentimental aspect too.

Took me a good decade to dispose of some dead pointe shoes I had stashed.
I kept thinking I’d find something to do with them.
No. I did the obligatory one pair dangling off a hanger in my closet. That’s it. From 1996 😂

Before someone comes here asking her to donate: ballet shoes have to fit your feet perfectly so you can't even borrow a pair from anyone.
The leotards well... it's very intimate clothes.

Wow you were allowed to have colored Leos??? Or was my experience really that mentally abusive lol. But same I have my competition bag (the duffle with the clothes rack Iykyk) still have all of my costumes bagged all of my shoes…
