This first look at the new Givi Tourer X.01 helmet showcases some of the unique features of this modular dual sport helmet. The standout feature on this helmet is the modular flexibility that allows this helmet to be used in several configurations. The chin bar of the Tourer can be fully removed and worn in "Jet" mode. The visor peak is also fully removable for highway use or at higher speeds. The modular features on the Tourer allow it to be used in up to 4 unique configurations. The Tourer uses a polycarb shell that has a round internal fitting shape and has both DOT and ECE ratings. The plush anti-microbial and sweat wicking liner is fully removable and washable. The Tourer is held in place by a micro-metric quick-release strap that allows for easy one-handed removal. The faceshield comes Pinlock ready and an internal sun visor reduces the need to carry an additional faceshield. The Tourer helmet is the perfect choice for the adventure touring rider who wants modular flexibility, but loves the function of a dual sport helmet.

Thank you for the feedback. Although the helmet in this video is only a prototype, it was on the heavy side and quite round in the fit. I'm hoping the production version will be more refined. ~Ali

True, it certainly isn't a convenient modular system, but being able to take the chinbar completely off is a nice touch. There really are only a couple options out there that state the modular can be used while riding with the chinbar up. I'm a full-face helmet kinda gal, so this isn't the helmet for me, but I do think some of the features are unique. ~Ali

Unfortunately, the release date has been a bit of a moving target. At this point I wouldn't make any guarantees short of August. -CK

Like the drop down sun visor on a dual sport helmet but the modular part sucks. You know the you would think hey its hot out gonna just pop that bit off and that would be the one time you crash and grind your face across the ground. Better without the temptation. Hope more dual sports helmets come out with the internal sun visor.

If the peak can be removed without any hassle, it could really cross over into street riding well. As well, I wonder how it handles goggles.

Ordered this helmet from France. It cost me way less even with shipping then what RZ is charging as pre-order.

I'm italian and i know very well this brand. If you are looking for a dual purpose helmet with the sun visor it is better looking for an X-lite. Every Givi helmet is too heavy, has bad ventilation and it is full of noises.. Remember Givi produce helmets since few years ago. Here in Rome if you don't have too much money to spend you go for a Givi.

Where can I get a vise to reshape my head?

Seriously.

Not impressed. Honestly I would imagine this is pretty good for any of the trials guys. @ 1:07, and 1:43, the visor and it's mechanism looks cheap. Sure it's a pre-production model but still. The point of a modular is to make it an open face helmet when you want more airflow, and you want to be able to raise/lower the chinbar on the fly. who wants to carry a pointy chinbar in a backpack anyway? those two pieces that fill the chinbar holes when it's off will probably get lost easily as well.
