Calling Robin Williams a legend only scratches the surface. He was one of a kind. He's been gone 8 years and is still missed. Rest in peace, Robin.

Robin Williams was THE MASTER of improv. So many of his movies had him come up with his lines and he would just rapid fire them out and they were always perfect. He made my childhood so much fun with all his funny movies and stand-ups. Rest in peace Robin, you will never be forgotten. ❤

Met him in person, nice guy. I had the unique opportunity to be his sound guy for a show. We were deployed and he came to do a show. Any sound guy knows you dont put your equipment in the center aisle unless you need to (big shows)...since the cables were short to the speakers i had to. He noticed me in the center aisle and said "Oh you are the sound guy to make sure i sound good." Without missing a beat, i turned up the gain on his microphone which caused lound feedback. The whole audience erupted with laughter and so did he. He came off the stage shook my hand, smiled and had a great show. Felt great knowing i could help him. RIP Robin. We all have demons and im still dealing with mine from combat.

It makes me so sad how he brought smiles to so many people but couldn’t bring one to himself. Rest in peace, Robin Williams.

My Dad, Aaron Blaise, was the Lead Animator for Rajah the Tiger in Aladin. One of his most memorable behind the scenes moments was when he was at his desk animating away and suddenly he hears behind him in a silly deep bellowing voice "Aaron! It's time to go to lunch!". Dad whips around and it was Robin Williams with a Studio Guide. He being given a tour around the Studio at the time and saw my Dad working and decided to surprise him a little bit. Dad speaks highly of the visit. What a great man he was.

My personal favorite improv of Robin Williams was during an USO Tour in Iraq. In mid stand up, the Reveille started to play on the loud speakers "UH OH" he yells and everyone stood and saluted the flag while Robin patiently waited. When it was done he was a bit confused at first and asked what that was all about and started cracking jokes about the moment.

One of the few legendary actors that formed my teenage life.

RIP to Robin, you've brought me laughters and smiles in my moments of sadness. You will always hold a space in my shelves of memories.

How could you not love Robin Williams. The man had so much talent and could play any role. Love his unscripted stuff just too funny. I could not even begin to tell you what is my favorite movie or stand up routine he had so many good roles and his stand up was always outstanding. RIP Robing. Always misses never forgotten.

I’m happy The Birdcage was on here. It’s a movie my mom and I watch together. It’s very funny and should be more widely appreciated. Rest in peace to a legend

My heart sank when on a school day waiting for school van to arrive I read the newspaper in my aunt's hands that had written Robin Williams died. Having always seen him do funny and goofy stuff making me roll laughing. I read loneliness took him. I knew then and there why I feared death. It took someone who was a bright light and dimmed the light in others who cared for that light.

His roles in whichever movie or show or cameo I would see... I would fall for. Rest in laughter Robin. Thank you. ❤️

I worked with him once, he was an AMAZING and kind person!

I was just an extra, and one of the notable things was that he came over to talk and joke around with us on set. Extras are often treated as "talking props", but he treated us like human beings. He was a remarkably kind person and an extraordinary talent. RIP.

Never forget one thing. Comedians are some of the most intelligent people on this planet. They look. They listen. They understand what is going on around us. They make us understand the absurdity of life by pointing out the absurdity of life.
May the universe continue to give us a Robin Williams.

Fun Fact: When he voiced Fender in Blue Sky’s Robots, he requested the director (Chris Wedge) to add a scene near the end of the film, where his character dances off to Britney Spears’ Baby One More Time, to defeat Gasket’s minions. XD

I grew up watching him in "Mork & Mindy" and a guest spot on "Happy Days". The first film that I saw him in was "The World According to Garp" where he floored me with his dramatic chops. He was an all-arounder and is dearly, deeply missed by those of us who've had the honor of being his fans through some great roles and some silly roles. He made us smile, laugh, sigh, and cry. May his spirit rest in peace. May his family know that he touched so many lives in a positive way! He was a one of a kind person and entertainer. If you had Robin, you didn't need anything else! Love forever!

Laughing through my tears right now. Miss your light, Mr. Williams. You should’ve gotten an Oscar for Millennium Man.

I wish we would had known of his struggles when he was alive. That would have made us all appreciate a lot more the fact that, even with all the darkness inside, he made us very happy with every performance. He also left us a lesson, mental health is as important as physical health.
