Israel’s Prime Minister has fired his Defence Minister Yoav Gallant.

Benjamin Netanyahu says a crisis of trust had developed between himself and Gallant and was impacting the management of the war.

There have been reports Gallant has been increasing pressure on the Prime Minister to make a ceasefire and hostage deal.

Israel Katz has been named as the new Defence Minister.

Israel is lucky to have PM Netanyahu at the helm compared to other previously weak prime ministers and every time he has regained his position as PM over many years, I have celebrated and breathed a sigh of relief for Israel and the West because whether some sniveling Western so-called "leaders" realize it or not or acknowledge it or not, we need a strong ally like Israel in the Middle East.
