“Know More” Human Trafficking Awareness and Prevention Curriculum

A recent study looked at 20 local high schools and found that 90 percent of them had documented cases of sex trafficking.
"That is a really compelling statistic and it’s one that woke up everybody and realized that this isn’t in somebody else’s backyard; this is an entire county’s backyard," said District Attorney Summer Stephan. "You have to look at the schools as a place where prevention must happen, because this is where our victims are coming from.”
“Know More” is a Human Trafficking Awareness and Prevention Curriculum developed by Point Loma Nazarene University with the San Diego Unified School District, the San Diego County Office of Education, Child Welfare Services, survivor leaders, law enforcement and other organizations.
