love it! do you have an idea to have AO from a specific object only ?

I came back to this tutorial because I thought it would be a great way to make a displacement map around objects as the touch the ground plane.. so rocks wouldnt look like they are poking out of flat plane but the areas around the rock rise up simulating dirt buildup and erosion if you get into layering with noises... anyway the AO is having no effect in the displacement channel. even thought the proximity AO is happening around the rocks scattered on a plane with Matrix object. anyone have any idea??
