Показать описание
COVID-19 cases are rising at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. According to the organizers, 71 people have now tested positive for COVID-19. These include athletes, officials, media people, and contractors. US’s gymnastics athlete Kara Eaker and Czech volleyball player Ondřej PeruSič are the latest to test positive. On July 17, 10 people, including two South African football players staying at the athlete's village, tested positive for the virus. The games will start on July 23, 2021, in Japan’s capital city Tokyo. The Tokyo 2020 Olympics was postponed for a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Only 68,500 people including athletes, officials, and media will be entering Japan for the Olympics and Paralympics. No spectators or fans are allowed at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic games. The Olympics won’t have dazzling and spectacular opening ceremonies like the previous Olympics. It will be a simpler and more controlled event to reduce coronavirus infection risks.
