Jesus told the disciples do this in my memory when you break the bread it is the body of Jesus we remember what they do to Him in the cross He gave His body for us in the cross for our sins, when we drink from the cup it is in remember of the blood that He gave in the cross for all of us, when you drink from the cup and break the bread if you don't examine your self and ask God to forgive your sin you can bring sickness unto you ..Ephesians 1;7 in Him we have redemption through His blood the forgiveness of our sin Hebrew 9:14 God cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death Hebrew 9:22 without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness 1Peter 1:18, 19 we are reddemed with the precious blood of Christ John 6:56 Whoever eats my flesh and drink my blood remains in me and I in them. 1 Corinthians 11;26 For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.
