As a Liverpool fan I've witnessed Mo Sallah on two occasions in the same season dribble the ball into the net by going past numerous bewildered defenders. He got deserved praise for those amazing goals and what a remarkable player he has been but...Lionel Messi...how many times as he done those things? He's done them far more often and far more naturally. I take my hat off to the greatest player ever to kick a ball. There should be NO debate about who is the greatest player of all time.

It's been said before, but Messi didn't just master the game of football as many other great players have in the past, he mastered the physics of football. He knew exactly how the ball would behave off his foot, how it would bounce, how it would roll, to a degree that is just uncanny. And on top of that, he knew exactly how every player around him would move and react even before they themselves knew. I've never seen any player put such ferocious spin on the ball with less visible effort. It's like he knew where to strike the ball down to the atom to get it to fly like that. Just unreal.

As a HUGE Michael Jordan fan I was too young to witness MJ prime. I was fortunate enough to watch Messi’s prime and still watching !! I am forever thankful and grateful for the what I witnessed. Messi single handily made me a futbol FANATIC.
