Carry on, you make the best out of it. And I like that your voice dropped about some keys. Very nice. Good composition and message.
The arrangement reminds me of the "Residents" in the 80´s. This is meant to be a very a large compliment.

A thankful & necessary comeback from one of our decent late 80s stars. Why does ANYONE in the long-dead music industry indeed wanna look like a...doll? Well, they wish, as dolls can be attractive toys & very scary in horror films. The puppets that scourge, pollute & degrade the dead music scene are nothing more but plastic shit WITHOUT attraction or even a point.

Hey Sam - a suggestion? Perhaps grab a hold of a fabulous new singer and be her svengali/songwriter/mentor? Of course you should also still play all the instruments to play. Number 8 is a brilliant use of the tools available so you could keep the music career going - I was extremely saddened to hear about the loss of your voice. But the variety, feel and songwriting of your previous discs is simply not there in going full electronic. You wrote and recorded seven albums that will (or at least should be) listened to for many years (I still do and will continue to do so). Deepest apologies, but this sounds like an ultra-modern throwaway (in comparison to your other works). Yeah, I'm an old fart, just a little younger than your Dad... Please don't be mad at this - I wrote this because I think you are the most underrated musician/songwriter ever. You should have been 10 times bigger than Sarah McLaughlin, Sheryl Crow, etc... COMBINED. I have talked you up to every fellow music lover I know. One specific little note for ya. Stop! absolutely blew my mind overall - the freshness, energy, class, variety, songwriting and recording were all fabulous. I was happily stunned when an ORGAN SOLO kicked in on the title track. On an album released in 1988 nontheless.
