I have these and i can say that they can, the batteries are just for the ANC (anti noise canceling)

Yea Today at school I seen this type of Case but the Headphones are almost the same and It's Noise Cancellation with a Button i was Amazed when i tried it.

I was about to buy these, but because of the price, I bought Siberia V2. (I had one siberias before and they broke) This Vulcan ANC is a bit heavier than Siberia V2, but its still pretty comfortable. Maybe i'll buy these next time?

i would buy if
1) it had surround sound
2) it was wireless
3) had support for ps3 and xbox

astro a50 do all 3 things and so much more, the only problem is price which isnt the best reason to rate it down.
i am buying astro a50 as soon as they come out.

i thought of some things i thought you should include on the project: a nice webcam/videocamera(perferably hd), a good microphone (Possibly a blue snowball maybe, or better), external hard drive, batteries if any of the equipment requires them.
---Like if you think any of these things should be added to the ultimate Pc

I still don't understand why manufacturers still use active noise cancellation. It costs more to manufacture, it uses batteries, and it doesn't sound as good as passive noise cancellation.

if u use an astro mixamp then u can use any headphone and mic setup u want so necessarily yes
