Undervolt your RX 6600 for more FPS! - Tutorial

It seems like pretty much every AMD card in existance benefits HEAVILY from undervolting! Better than overclocking, actually. This tutorial works for the RX 6600 and RX 6600 XT (Also, if you're reading this and have a 6600 non-XT, just flash the BIOS to be a 6600XT and you'll thank me later) but the values are very similar for the RX 6700 as well, with the RX 6600M being in the same boat.

With the OC you recommend i got a 5, 7% fps increase with Cyberpunk 2077, 8, 4% in shadow of the tomb raider and 6, 4% in timespy. Very happy with finding your video. Since i just improved my GPU just by overclocking. I was planning on using my RX 6600 for a while so, you just made that a lil easier. Thank you 😁

My monitor went green when I applied the changes, pressed the reset button on my case and nothing was happening, I was so scared my balls dropped. Anyway, it took a few minutes for it to reset by itself, checked the settings and everything went back to default. I think everyone should be careful with lowering the voltage at 1080mV. Definitely lower it just by small decrements.

Straight to the point, no bs. Like this video man, keep it up!

with bumping minimal clock, card draws more power idle, does not stage voltage lower by not dropping down clock? I saw that nowadays this is OC by undervolt. But how about just wanting card to sipp a little less power? Any recommended settings?

This is great advice. Really minimized the stuttering on heavily modded skyrim. I was about to install fsr but remembered seeing this video before and it works wonderfully.

Hi I've seen others comment on other videos this isn't really undervolting cause you are increasing the other 2 settings. Can anyone clear this up? I don't have much technical knowledge on this.

I have the exact same GPU you do. Could I just copy exactly what you did in the video and be safe? Or should I make some changes depending on my PSU? (I have a 500w Smart 80+ White)

I recently undervolted my Sapphire Radeon RX 6600 with the settings in this video exactly. It ran for one day, and then it crashed. My PC still powers on, but any monitor i've tried doesn't recognize the GPU/PC. All it has is the standby red light, and a signal that says "No Connection". I tried resetting my CMOS battery, and reseating my GPU, but nothing works, any ideas?

This definitely worked. 3D Mark Steel Nomad from 1495 to 1630. Steel Nomad Light from 7286 to 7883. Time Spy from 8088 to 8772. One thing i noticed is that gpu max power comsuption went from 100w to 120w, temperature from 63/65ºC to 73/75ºC and gpu fan rpm from 1800 to 2200 which i think is max speed compared to the stock defaults. This comparision was obtained with adrenaline metrics overlay on Steel Nomad Light. Didn't test it on actual games but at least seems like a good backup plan for the more demanding games.

Tested on Ryzen 5 5600, 16Mb DDR4 3600, Sapphire Pulse RX 6600 with 24.7.1 drivers.

Does it matter on which gpu brand of 6600 i use cause im using the gigabyte eagle rx 6600. Can this work on this gpu too or must i change some values?

i have a question, do we use the same value if we don't enable the smart access memory? because my motherboard is still on 320 series and I cannot activate the SAM. hope you see this, thankyou!

Mine is MSI RX6600 Mech 2X, current lowest but stable config is Min 2342MHz, Max 2542MHz (slightly OC'ed above the advertised maximum for this model which is 2491MHz), Voltage 1065mV + Memory Fast Timing on 1800MHz. Tested it on a newly released FPS title, The Finals. Got about 140fps on average on High Settings. Max voltage is 0.993mV if you monitor it with MSI Afterburner while playing that game most of the time but will go up to 1.000mV when the fans need to work harder. On 1060mV or even lower will crash after some time because when the GPU demanded more voltage (for the fans I guess?), it wasn't sufficient so it just crashed.

What settings would you recommend for a ASROCK version of this RX 6600 card? And i have a ryzen 5 3500 processor and a motherboard which is MSI A320M-A PRO. Anyone who knows or have a similar version of this card pls reply.

Does this work for the gigabyte eagle version of the rx 6600 non-xt?

I bought this same card now. I just want to under volt old as max temp goes upto 75. I want it to be controlled. And i don't want to over overclock the card also. What to change here in that sense? Is your settings completely safe?

I'm too scared to flash the bios, haha. After running heaven benchmark 4, 0 at 1080mv and 2700max, my driver crashed a few minutes later(Im guessing around the 5-7 minute, if i was afk i wouldnt know it crashed because it kept going just my overlay metrics counter disappeared and tuning was set to default thats how i knew)
I found the sweet spot between temps, noise, GPU longevity and frequency to be
Min freq - 2300
Max freq - 2550
Voltage - 1090 mV
VRAM - 1900 mhz

Fan tuning - on
Zero RPM - disabled (for those whose idle is above 50)
Advanced control - enabled (can tune fan curve to your liking I haven't bothered much with it but just general safe measure is to set it to 100% for 80, having GPU over 60 and especially junction at 80 and above causes slight degradation I've read)
30 C - 35%
50 C - 36%
63 C - 43%
80 C - 100%
