The Difficult But Interesting Lives Of Intuitive Introverts According To Carl Jung

Carl Jung discussed the peculiarities of the intuitive introvert during a notable 1957 interview with Richard Evans of the University of Huston, originally released by Penn State University, Carl Jung described the intuitive introvert as one of "the most difficult type." In a revealing discussion, he explained that these individuals possess unique insights into the inner world, often perceiving uncommon things that others struggle to understand. Jung noted that when the introverted intuitive talks about what he perceives, almost nobody understands it. Despite this communication challenge, Jung highlighted their remarkable ability in human relations - they can often intuit important aspects of a person's psychology and biography upon first meeting. Jung concluded that the introverted intuitive leads to "a very difficult life, although one of the most interesting."

At this point, the only important thing is that I understand myself.

We understand pretty much everyone else, but pretty much nobody understands us.

The greatest gift of an intuitive introvert is seeing through people. The greatest punishment is living amongst the people who they can see through. My life is very difficult the older I get because of seeing through people

I think the worst part is having negative expectations, but dismissing them, trying to look on the bright side, only to have them proven mostly or completely accurate.

How does the world work?
Introverted intuitive:
- goes silent, starts playing 4 dimensional clips in mind, spanning entire human history, start saying “I….. I…..”, can’t complete sentence, comes with a philosophical level conclusion… but sees the uselessness of communicating with people grounded in materialism. Goes for a solo nature walk in the forest and listens to birds chirping

This man knows me more than anyone in my life, it is a painful feeling.

My husband gets annoyed because as soon as I meet one of his new friends I immediately say whether I like them and trust them or not. He thinks I’m too judgmental. Flash forward a year later and he gets burned by them. Some people really can know immediately about a person’s character and intentions.

Ahh... being misunderstood is something I've grown use to. This is why I opt for isolation.

This is the first time I hear Carl Jung's voice, I didn't even know there were interviews with him!

He is right. Intuitive introverts are normally surrounded by people which can not grip them, which can not understand them, which are not on their level. That's beautiful. ❤

For the extremely intuitive introvert, it's like walking through life reading people's subconscious selves even more strongly than their conscious aspects. Seeing their darkness, the things that really move them. Sensing what they really feel about you and others.. it is a hard way to go through life.

Being an introvert myself, I'm always drawn to listening to these videos, conversations.

The more I listen and learn, the more unapologetic I am being me, & knowing I'm never alone.

I stand before the sea
The sea: why are you so sad
Me:because of some people treatment
The sea: dont be sad they treat me exactly like you
Me:how?
The sea :does who swim on the surface say that sea is calm or turbulent but does who dive explore my secrets and extract my pearls
Me: smiling because of how much the sea understand me more than people
People:oh look à crazy man smile with himself
Suddenly i heard the giggle of the sea and then i start laughing with him so hard and just ignore them
I picture those dialogues so often when i stand in front of a beautiful nature scene
Dont reveal your depth to superficial people they are not interested in watering you they just wanna collect your fruits
I always feel misunderstood

I believe my mom is this type of introvert. I know it's not an easy or really pleasant life, but she's such a beautiful person. And I love her so much.

No words... Just feelings, sensations, movements, that speak more than my words... I don't recognize myself in my words anymore, they were just for other people... But the effort was exhausting... Happy and grateful to hear this. Blessings to all the IIntuitive Introverts of this world!
