With so many commenters telling me that I look like Winona Ryder, I figured I had to take advantage of it and do this Lydia Deetz makeup and hair tutorial from Beetlejuice! Okay, it's part tutorial, part demo, but this costume is pretty straightforward. All you need is an all-black outfit, a wig, and a few makeup products. Bonus if you have a camera to use as a prop! And remember, you want to look like you WANT to look like you're dead, while still looking alive lol. It's a great last minute Halloween costume! So how'd I do? Let me know!

Brilliant! And never fear… if you have tiny humans you need less makeup to achieve the “exhausted human” look

Omg its scary awesome how quickly you transformed into Lydia 😮 ok, you have to try some of her (Winona) other characters. Well, you don't have too, but it would be fun!

You resemble winona allot even without make up so this looked really good.

I think you look more like a young Sherilyn Fenn (circa "Twin Peaks" era) than Winona Ryder, but you are definitely gorgeous in your own right! Fantastic cosplay and tutorial!

They should have used you as her daughter in beetlejuice 2! You're gorgeous! I'm jealous of how alike y'all look

I'm not even really into this kind of stuff by default, but this was really cool. I'm a middle age man and sometimes beer drinking buddy but this was really cool. I was sent here for a reason. If nothing else, to just plain say hello. This is new material to me but now if I encounter any lady needing sewing advice, I'll definitely send them to your channel. I may even learn more than just how to hand sew a button or a simple patch. Your channel is about to school me on how to make clothes!!! And the fact you actually like Beetlejuice is a plus. Be willing to bet you probably also know Dead Calm and The Quiet Earth. This is waaay cool. 🖖✌👍

@5:15 Lydia had the goth version of big eighties hair as Beetlejuice came out back in '86 even though most folks think of it as a 90's movie. I think BJ was ahead of its time. Lydia Deetz was the first goth I ever saw who wasn't in a music video on MTv, but in an actual studio released movie.

I’m a pretty chill mom of two adult kids, but even I might sigh a little of one of my kids went full Lydia Deetz or Edward Scissorhands for hair. I cannot imagine how uptight, image conscious Lydia’s mom would react if she actually cared about her kid.

It’s a movie of the 80’s. 1988. Late 80’s but still. ;-)

I can’t believe after all that time between beetlejuice 1 & 2 she didn’t update her hairstyle 😂
