India’s exit polls show a majority for Modi’s BJP-led alliance in election

Early exit polls in India’s general elections are projecting a victory for the governing BJP and its allies.
It follows a six-week long election, where hundreds of millions of voters battled a heatwave to cast their ballots.

The Indian government has not granted visas to Al Jazeera’s journalists, so we are covering the election from outside the country.

The wire 😂 unless that narrative changes BJP keeps winning. The underlying problem is no strong opposition leader and always branding BJP as islamophobic. Its caste equation, language nationalism, prioritizing local problems & having right leaders on the ground helping BJP. There are also neutral voters who votes what best for the country and they vote for BJP cos the party has some stability.
