Diamond Mining in Sierra Leone

This is a movie about diamond mining in Sierra Leone. Since the brutal civil war the Sierra Leone diamond industry is known as the source for the so called "Blood Diamonds". Diamonds that were mined under forced condition and traded on the illegal markets to purchase weapons.
More than 10 years after the war, entrepreneurs rehabilitating the mining sector; for more traceability and fair prices paid to the miners.

Dude. The day Africa gets itself together under proper leadership, will be the day the world becomes scared. Africa accounts for 1/3 of the worlds precious metals, AND, they host some of the most beautiful and endangered animals in the world (unfortunately). After watching Blood Diamond I search where does really diamond come from and this scene is just so heart breaking for me, imagine those people digging, sweating, and giving this best but didnt recieve proper compensation to their hard work, it's an obvious way of exploitation both for human and natural resource.
I just don't understand why African people allowing other countries to slave them, that's their land, their property, their resources, they should owned it, they need to take a stand for it.
