Summarizing populism is the most positive force in a democratic EU system a counterweight against the dictatorial directives of politically correct ruling EU class!!!!

When we see Mr. Salvini, Mr. Farage, Mr. Orban, Mr. Trump, Mr. Tommy Robinson and the like, better believe they are the peaceful populists 👍🏻👏🙏🏼

This interview with Matthijs Rooduijn has clarified the situation well. It doesn't follow that you have to be "right-wing" to be a populist or that "left-wing" people cannot be nationalists etc as is often portrayed.

If given the chance, I think most people would be socialist/ populist/ nationalist. Confusion and discord arise when people make wrong assumptions about other people based on just one of these labels eg thinking someone is "right-wing" because they are nationalist or populist.

Political fault lines don't map onto each other in a black and white sort of way but criss-cross each other.

Interesting definition of populism. Populism is just people-ism. A message that innately appeals the majority of the people on a subconscious level.
