Just imagine the solos that Bird played that were never recorded. Thousands of solos played in clubs gone forever.

You see when Charlie Parker is improvising it is like Shakespeare talking on a articulate pure poetry....every articulation says something specific that relates precisely to the whole in a poetic language that is absolutely communicative...full of expression yet never 'meaningless blather'.... always exactly 'on point' .... pure original total communication in every NOTE!

The flow of articulate phrasing, sweetly and naturally announced like good news, that's Parker at his normal best, a genius because it just emerged as beauty and thrill and life!

Jazz? Metal? etc,
Music, at it's finest is "good listening" no matter what you're hearing. ✌️

I'm glad I discovered jazz, or else I still would be a closed-mind metalhead who thinks he knows what true music is (but I still fucking love metal).
