This movie is a under rated Christmas treasure. You cant't help but feel good after watching or listening to the soundtrack. It's a shame no one shows it on broadcast tv anymore.

For me, every year the ultimate Christmas feeling starts with the great Albert Finney.

"They say happiness is a thing you can't see, a thing you can't touch -- I disagree; Happiness is whatever you want it to be." This impeccable version of Dickens' classic depicts a Victorian London in all it's Industrial-Age squalor -- dirty, overcrowded, and freezing. Yet the 'milk of human kindness' overrules all of this misery by allowing the warmth of the Christmas season to shine through . Simply magical.

This is my favorite Christmas movie ever! It is truly one of a kind; so touching and beautiful!

This has been a favourite Christmas film of mine since I first went to see it in London, when I was 9 years old. 'The Railway Children' came out around the same time, and I love that film as well.

I normally don't like musicals, but this classic is an exception. The songs are perfectly heart-capturing and the beautiful old world scenery is remarkable!

R.I.P Albert Finney. You were and will always be the best Scrooge.

a wonderful soundtrack, reminds me of my elderly mum and dad, and of 'old times', sadly long gone.

How this was never popular as a stage piece I’ll never understand. There seems to have been one West End production, but evidently it never caught on. Great composer, great story. When garbage like „Elf“ becomes a Broadway holiday standard, how was this just ignored!!!

This movie should show on network television once a year in December the way they do with The Sound of Music, and how they used to do it with The Wizard of Oz. It's that good.

Saw this version for years on tv in the 70's and 80's. Went to a special screening of it for my elementry choir and they showed the entire movie without the edits in 1981. l did not know that our TV station had edited out all of the Hell Scenes. I was seeing my first deleted scene. Super captivated. I love this version. Family tradition to watch each year.

This is my & my sister's absolute FAVORITE VERSION OF THIS DICKENS CLASSIC!! The music is amazing, & I'm always surprised by how little credit this version gets- especially compared to "Scrooged", & other more modern takes on this classic! I will always associate Christmas with these songs, & it's a tradition now, in my family! Happy Thanksgiving, & Merry early Christmas to you all!! ❣️

I saw this movie when it first came out in the theater as a young boy and it resonated inside me, and to this day I still believe it to be the finest adaptation of a Christmas Carol. It just has this charm and child like innocence and warmth that some of the others do not have. A very special movie, also the music is masterful, and brings you in line with the characters and really help you understand each person's role. It is a shame that's it's not featured during the Christmas season each year. A great message to many in our world today, if they could look at there own hearts and how there actions effect others either negative or positively

I just listened to You again and it's quickly moving up my favorites list. Mr. Finney has so much sadness in his voice you can't help feel so sad for his loss and regret. It's a simple song but relays much of Ebenezer's heart....it's a wonderful song. Great job Mr. Finney. It almost brought a tear to my eye.
