Most Christians have a real problem with storing up anything of heavenly reward or profit, I think because of the perceived "evils" of pursuing temporal wealth they see and are taught in scripture. But as you say, pursuing temporal wealth is not sinful as long as it is secondary to serving Christ. That was a truth we focused on in CBMC along with stressing the pursuit of heavenly reward via good works, etc. I think this mindset comes of a belief that heaven will be a strictly egalitarian "society" where we are all equal and therefore no envy, coveting or greed. Perhaps also, the belief that pursuit of profit, heavenly or otherwise, is ungodly but that again, is not what the scriptures teach at all. We are encouraged to seek heavenly rewards as an incentive, even a command, to "improving" our walk here and bringing glory to God on earth. I think your teaching is right on on this but many struggle with the concept.
