I'm always annoyed that we HAVE to vote and then parties form coalitions in order to not let the party with the most votes take the win. No.. 'oh, if we and you and them form a coalition, we have more votes together than that 1 party.'

That, to me, is not democracy. And it is part of the problem.

American expat turned German here. I have been living here for over 40 years. Till covid I was a Rachel Maddow fan! My eyes have been opened as to who the anti democrats are all over the world. That the AFD gets at least in Thüringen way higher than the CDU (an obvious Partner for the AFD in a sane world) and the AFD will not be allowed to govern. It's crazy. The Ampel Government has driven this country into the ground. Don't forget, the absolut most important issue for many is the War! AFD and BSW are the only ones that want to have peace talk in Ukrain. This is soooo important. I say give the AFD a chance, and don't ignore the results of a democratic election!

The AFD also stood up against the covid narrative and questioned the jabs, basically a party for the freedoms of the people. How dare they behave more democratically than those who "tell" us what democracy is and their version of it.
