Toyota GR Supra 2020 first look | Plus A90 edition Shmee150 bought!

Toyota GR Supra 2020 is new sports coupe, made in partnership with BMW sharing Z4 engine, body frame and some interior parts. But again, completely different car. There is also limited A90 Edition for first European buyers who placed pre-order. Shmee150 popular YouTuber bought one and was making his review along side me. New Supra got revealed in Geneva Auto Show 2019.

Supra is powered by; 3.0-litre, in-line six-cylinder engine producing 335 HP, sending all power to rear wheel drive paired with 8-speed automatic transmission, launching 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.3 seconds and has top speed limited to 250 km/h (155 mph).

In video you can see Prominence red color and A90 limited edition exclusive Storm Grey matt color. The A90 Edition features stunning, 19-inch matt black alloy wheels, racing-inspired, red leather and Alcantara sports seats that provide exceptional support, while red leather on the steering wheel and driver’s door complete the statement look. The video speaks for it self when it comes to very impressive exterior design. Supra is very aerodynamic.

Inside new Supra is mix of high end materials, driver-focused cockpit, featuring 6 or 8 - inch central multimedia system. Navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay, 12-speaker JBL stereo sound system, wireless phone charging, color head-up display and heated leather seats. Only disappointment is old BMW steering wheel which in my personly opinion ruins rest of beautiful interior.

All variants have collision warning, automatic high beams, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning and a feature that recognizes road signs as standard.

Last Toyota Supra was made in 90's, 17 years ago.

There will be few petrol engine options in Europe, the 2.0 with 194 or 255 HP and 3.0 with 335 HP. US will get only 3.0 petrol. There will be two packages, aside with limited edition.

New Toyota Supra is arriving in fall of 2019 in USA. Prices for US are:

Launch edition 55,250 $
Premium 53,990 $

Europe has three packagesd Active, Premium and limited pre-order A90 edition. No information on prices in Euro so far as it depends on country and different VAT.

Great video! Sad about this car. If it truly was an ancestor of the last Supra, I'd be in line to buy one. Had a 2JZ-GTE Supra in Highschool in 1998. And have a JZZ30 Soarer with a 1JZ-GTE sitting in my parents garage in Canada (I Live in Australia). Both great cara and love BMWs as well, have a had a few. But being a Supra I don't want it to sound like a BMW, which the "Gong" absolutely does with doors open or when you start it as you showed. Sad that its lost its true soul. If they would have brought back the 4th gen Supra, had. A 2.5 or 3.0 Twin Turbo I6 making say 550bhp, they'd have a winner. My Soarer is the 2.5l and puts out "276bhp" which is what the Gentlemans agreement between Honda, Nissan and Toyota was back in the 90s that they wouldn't make a car with more power than that. But anyone who has driven a TT Skyline or Soarer knows the power they have is well over 300, and with today's tech, bringing back the 2JZ-GTE or 1JZ-GTE in this car, at 2.5L, much more effici5with today's tech and almost double the hp they'd have a winner. It looks nice though, but still sad it's not a true Toyota. Sorta like the 86, it's a Subbie. Nothing wrong with Subbies, but at one time in this world Toyota's had a soul. But thats long gone! Great video though, sorry about the rant. Haha
