I met Klaus Nomi at a performance he was doing, I was working Security with several other people, He came over to us and spent about ten minutes meeting us and talking. I found it amazing he was so approachable and friendly. After the show, he came back and we chatted more, we were all surprised he remembered our names. I felt he was such a warm and genuine person for the short time I actually got to speak to him. I was sad when I learned of his passing.

Klaus was among the first to die in the AIDS crisis. As a singer I admired his range and presentation. I saw him in person many years ago and remember him today.

This looks fantastic! I am the bass player in this! I've been looking at a grainy VHS of this for years! Wow! Thank you for posting this. Somewhere there must be film of the other two songs we did for this film, You Don't Own Me and The Nomi Song. Anybody have a clue?

I love the contrast between Klaus and the band.

They're all dressed in typical late 70s/early 80s style with no real costume, and Klaus is a goddamn space alien. They're professionally focusing on their instruments and Klaus is flying up and down through octaves like it ain't no thang.

Such a damn shame he couldn't stay longer.

The amount of time Klaus spent in getting his makeup and costume on is crazy, and then to do such performances!
I wish I could go back in time and watch him live on stage!

My Greek grandma showed me this when I was a kid. She told me she admired him. She was sucha modern woman. With modern views and values. She was ahead of her time. Strong woman. A rebel. I should have honored her when she was alive a lot more than I did

Just to let you know Guitarist Scott Woody ( who wrote Wasting My Time on the first Nomi LP) passed away this week. He was a wonderful human being and a multitalented musician. He will be missed by anyone who had the pleasure to know him! RIP Scotty!!!

Whoever digitized this is amazing. What a way to capture an amazing talent who left too soon.

Klaus should forever be revered and held in the highest esteem.
He brought everything into his performances and personally, I think everyone alive should hear his voice.
