MPs vote in favour of assisted dying bill

The House of Commons voted in favour of the terminally ill adults (end of life) bill on Friday, with 330 lawmakers for and 275 against. Under the bill mentally competent, terminally ill adults in England and Wales who are assessed by doctors to have six months or less left to live would be allowed the right to choose to end their lives with medical help.

Such a huge decision, but we can totally trust our honest and never corrupt MPs to make these decisions for our National Health Service that they don't have to access thanks to their Private Health Care. They really only have our best interests at heart. Truly.

Look at these people cheering. Like the proverbial 'turkeys voting for Christmas'. The present guidelines for the Assisted Dying Bill is for the terminally ill who have 6 months or less to live. Who's to say that it won't be either the elderly, mentally ill or handicapped next? People can be coerced by greedy relatives or even, dare I say it, medical staff. Safeguards can easily be sidelined or brushed aside...

Assisted dieing has been legal in the UK fir a long time. It's currently a painful and horrific process of dehydration and starvation whilst on morphine. The process takes days, sometimes weeks and it is traumatising for everyone.

They now have to create a process that gets it right 100% of the time. No grey areas. No mistakes. Ever.
