ahyes makoto shinkai aka the guy who always manages to direct memorable and detailed images that are a feast for the eyes

also please do naoko yamada next!!! her films are simply amazing with liz and the blue bird being my favourite, her use of microexpressions to convey a character's feelings humanizes them so much it's beautiful
