The “pills” Calvin refers to are likely ADHD medication which can help with the ability to focus but often include side effects like apathy and creativity deficit.

Although this one seems beneficial as it's actually helping the person that's seeing imaginary things. Instead of giving them a crippling drug addiction that can't be satisfied with their recommended dosage.

Idk if anyone else has said this, but the one about the Avatar and their hair isn't really true. The bond, even between Na'vi, is not inherently sexual. Intimate, maybe, but not sexual, because the bond is litterally just connecting the two minds. That's why they do that with the animals, so they can communicate better. The reason the do that between Na'vi is because it's just a way to be closer together not just physically in the moment.

The bullet one. When you fire a bullet from a gun the outer casing is spat back out. Like you see in video games that show the bullet casings coming out of the side of the gun when firing. They're saying sorry to themselves not the enemy.

Ya ppl don’t know how ammunition works. The casing of a round stays with the shooter so writing “sorry” on the casing and not the bullet would mean nothing

EDIT: If the round was about to be used by a Canadian to commit suicide, then I think writing “sorry” on the casing would be appropriate 😊

the na'vi hair is mainly to bond with other na'vi and animals, creating a neurological connection (sort of mind melding), which is called tsaheylu <Na'vi word for bond>

A lot of people think the pills one with Calvin and Hobbes is the pills working and making him stop seeing the tiger as real (aka hallucinations) but that doesn't make sense in reference to the original comic. The original comic makes it clear the tiger is a stuffed animal in the first place, and that the theme is Calvin is using his imagination to play with his friend Hobbes, the tiger. In that respect, the comic we see would be more inclined as a pointed message about how giving kids pills at a young age can stifle there imaginations and possibly free will?
