The 84 Vette is a great car, incredibly reliable fuel system, and made lots of speed for it's day. If not for the 84, the entire vette project was in danger of being shelved by GM.

I was in the military in Germany in 1984 and my buddy ordered a new 84 Vette with the Doug Nash 4+3 transmission and it took almost a year to get the car because of production delays. I remember thinking the seats were sort of narrow for us bigger guys.

These were super high tech for there day I think more than the c5 was for the time it was built but that's my own opinion and two cents still looks modern.

Good review albeit the minimal amount of effort it would have taken to change that goofy looking shifter boot, and arrange the tires properly would have done a massive service to showcasing how timeless this particular vette is. Its one of the unicorns on the series, and while that grotesque spoiler also has to go, I realize that takes a bit more effort than the other two aforementioned items to amend.

That crossfire injected V8 was the worst engine ever put into a Corvette slow as hell. No horsepower whatsoever

Quality review on a really cool C4, however this particular car is a bit of a clown. Beautiful red paint, but the front wheels are backwards and that rear wing is a hideous wart. Beautiful grey leather interior, but what the hell is the blue carpet and floor mats and that hideous shift boot? It’s all quite laughable.
