This is happening now because dashes are always lit up, and some people don’t realise their DRLs aren’t actually headlights, older cars were a lot harder to forget to turn your lights on because you couldn’t see the dash

This is probably because nowdays, cars have tablets that are always lit as dashboards. Traditional dashboards only light up when you turn the lights on

I had a biker tell me once I was happy because a couple months prior I had gotten pulled over for it!😢 I used to pick up my friends from work late at night so I would sit in the parking lot with my lights off and doors locked because SAFETY! And when we were leaving beach rd (friend worked at a restaurant down there) I just knew there was a cop behind me and i wasn’t sure why until he pulled me over!!!😂

The running lights on newer cars are so bright that its actually hard for the driver to tell the difference sometimes. I see probably 5-10 cars a night driving around with just the running lights, no rear lights until they hit the brakes.

That was so nice of you. I have automatic lights but once i took my car serviced and they fiddled with the dial and turned the automatic lights off! I have night shift and in the city the roads were pretty well-lit UNTIL THEY WERENT!! I panicked and I was on the freeway, i didnt know where to stop and then somebody in a van came up behind me and put his beams on to light my way and help me out until i could find the right button (it was my first car, i had no idea). A real lifesaver!

I do that when people dont use their blinker at dangerous intersections unfortunately people where i live just dont pay attention or care so they usually dont

I have done this as well, ill stop outside my bf's house for him to run in & grab whatever he needs and ill turn my lights off so im not blinding incoming traffic but then ill forget to turn them back on when i pull out. Usually i notice but one time i got 2 blocks down and was like "why is it so dark" 🤦

I once started driving without my headlights on and only noticed because my lights didn’t bounced off a street sign and I freaked out and flicked them on immediately, thus I keep my auto on from now on

Theres always a mix of people that either: have their lights on normally (those people we thank) people who have their brights on no matter what (those people we flip off cause LED brights are the bane of everyones existence except the driver) those who have their brights AND fog lights (same extreme brightness, unnecessary unless you live in a foggy area) or people who just drive around with no lights (these people are risking lives, especially if they have black or dark cars at NIGHT.). I love in Oregon and there are SO many cars who dont have their lights on, my family and i have made a game of it. Highest score was over 40.
