You can keep them together and collect more to equal more weight. You can find a scrap yard or electronic scrap buyer to sell them to.

Are they throwing them away with the gold fingers attached?

Thanks for watching! If you read our description we state that it is a good idea if you have a large quantity of material. Each person recycles their own way and this is just a suggestion we give out to scrappers. If you are experienced and know you're going to be collecting a large quantity, than it is definitely worth it to pull the fingers off. If you have some other suggestions of your own, we would gladly make a video for it.

No necessarily, a good example if you have a small amount of memory boards, it isn't worth taking away the weight of the rest of the board to pull off the gold fingers. You can lose money from having a small quantity.

Has anybody noticed the background. Perhaps not the best place to shoot the video.

OK, so if you don't separate the fingers, what do you do with the memory sticks? Where do you sell them and what are they worth?

Horrible advice! You should ALWAYS take the gold fingers from the RAM. For one, they add up just like anything else and the intrinsic value of the gold is way higher than what they will pay you. In other words, the gold on those fingers will always be valuable while the paper currency they'll give you, at least in this country (US), is doing nothing but going down in value! I make a living as a recycler and the advice you just gave is just plain awful, sorry.
