Telerik ASP.NET Ajax Splitter control allows Filter to be hidden until needed. Splitter nicely adds scroll bar with larger number of records in Grid. Filter allows custom criteria combined with editable pre-built searches to get users started. Grid set with standard datasource, Splitter is drag and drop with HTML, or ASP.NET, or ASP.NET Ajax controls in top half and bottom half. Filter just needs identifier of Grid to work. Minimal amount of coding to add pre-built searches.
