Hello my dear viewers today I have a special project that Ive been interested in for a long time. Its an Vintage Englishman or Lightning Pliers from the 1920s since some of these Pliers are Screwed with a bolt. And then they wobble a lot, I did something really special. I drove plain bearings to measure, and worked them out with a reamer until they fitted 100% on the brass screw. The result is wonderful... No more play, no wobbling...

Dear friends if you liked it, Please subscribe to my channel, that motivates
me to do more interesting projects... Thank you very much for being there, I appreciate it very much..
Greetings Eddi

Thank God for YouTube auto video recommendations that I found myself today watching this magician at work. Instantly followed. Keep them coming keep them coming. I love em!

I like when they file and smooth the rougher casting marks and stampings while keeping the original casting numbers etc.

What magnificent job you did restoring the lightning pliers to working order. It looks much better than before and it works like a charm too. Excellent work as usual.

It looks very pretty and I like the bushings to remove the slop in the tool. It still strikes me as a cumbersome tool by design with an awkwardness in use.

Not only does this look better than brand new, you improved the design with those bearings. Fantastic work! I'm really glad I came across your channel today.

Need more details on products you are using the reason you are using..

why didn't you use the sandblaster right away? To increase the "tension"? 🤭

I have seen a lot of tools in my day, but I never saw these pliers before. Is this something you only find in England or Europe? They are very odd.

What types of acid granules are you using? Which acid is it? And about HCO3, is it also in granules ? Thank you.

My least favourite type of spanner, I've always found them next to useless. Very nice clean-up job though, it really lends itself to the mirror finish and the brass fittings really bring it up a notch.

It is a completely useless job and to be rejected for many reasons.
1)The polishing eliminates the "grip" with the hands, the presence of the "plain bearing" in brass facilitates the formation of electrochemical couples.
2) Mirror polishing does not eliminate rust formation.
3) The "blueing" or a "chemical with boiling oil" would have solved the problem eliminating the formation of rust even in the almost inaccessible parts.

Very ‘pretty’ but not a restoration, back to the way it should be.
