Hmmm... I didn't know that was such a thing as self preservation!
But I knew that The Yogi can leave his body at wish! Of course after decades of practicing. Even then, not every Yogi can do that.
So I guess it is the same.

Self mummification is literally per year until one day if you reach the enlightenment, then only you get aura and get out of your aura debt

Thats actually "Sheel samadhi pragya" This is done by pure, dedicated and powerful monks only. They do so because powerful people can choose the way they die. Im a Buddhist and i confirm this is true and request not to be taken a as a joke or to be joked abt.
