A lot of my YouTube tutorial videos can seem a little bit theoretical, so in this video I wanted to give you 10 actual tips for ways that I use my iPhone to be more productive and get more things done in my working day.

A Reminders feature I like to use related to my shopping list is hash tagging each item with the name of the store where I buy it. If I can get it at multiple stores I simply add those hash tags also. Then, when I’m at the store, I simply touch on the hash tag for that store in the Tags section of the main Reminders screen. Makes it a lot more efficient and avoids scrolling through all items on my shopping list.

One other feature my wife and I use is sharing calendars. We have a shared calendar for things we want to ensure the other is aware of. Got to the calendar app, tap on Calendars, then the i in the red circle associated with the calendar you want to share, Add a person. Works like a charm!

I use the shortcuts app quite a bit. Whether it's for saving quick links to my vehicle insurance documents, sharing WiFi QR codes, checking my battery cycles, or even using the automations feature to turn off my Focus Mode at a given hour, it comes in really handy for me.

I do leverage work and personal profiles. I don’t allow notifications outside slack during work. Or notifications from emergency contacts. I also appreciate sleep mode to snooze all notifications

I can hardly use the dictation on the phone and especially not the iPad. Terrible voice recognition on the iPad ...and what is most irritating is when it gets the correct words and then goes back and changes them to something ridiculous. I don't recall having so much trouble in the past.

Great tips, as always! About Focus, I love the location feature, so that when I'm at a certain location, the Focus mode I've set up is activated. I'm a little frustrated, though, in that Apple has limited means to add locations. I've tried entering a new building, but because it's not yet listed in Apple Maps, I can't enter it as a location in Focus. A minor annoyance for an otherwise useful feature.
